Theta Delta (Creighton)

This week’s Chapter Spotlight is Theta Delta (Creighton) who raised over $16,000 and welcomed more than 200 attendees at their first Red Dress Gala! Vice President of Marketing Callie Krajicek tells us how they did it.

Event Name: Red Dress Gala
Location: Hilton Omaha

How many times have you held this event?
This was our first!

How long did it take to plan the event?
We began our planning a year prior to the event.

Who attended the event?
We had over 360 people attend our Gala! This included the Theta Delta chapter members, advisors, alumnae, parents, friends and Creighton students.

Briefly describe the event.
We had a silent auction, dinner, live auction and dance!

What was your favorite part of the event?
I loved seeing the ballroom filled with people. Having put in so much time on planning the event it was satisfying and encouraging to see all the people arrive and see how impressed they were with the event. The tremendous support we saw from our family and friends made the event the success that it was.

What do you think attributed to your event’s success?
The thing that brought our event to the next level was making sure all of our chapter members knew this event was important and that it was important their parents be there if they could. We were also lucky to have an amazing adviser. Without her, the event could not have happened.
