3 Things to Pay Attention to on Alpha Phi Foundation’s Scholarship Application

by Alex Goodman in Impact

It’s time to start your Alpha Phi Foundation Scholarship Application! Whether a first-time applicant or veteran submitter, here are three things to pay close attention to when filling out this year’s scholarship application.

Updated Layout

In previous years, the majority of the application was completed on a long, never-ending page. After some tweaking, each section of the application has its own page! Upon starting your application, you will find individual tabs to house individual topics. This change makes it easier for all applicants to track their progress as they fill out the application.

Two Essays, Not One

Our ‘Essay Question’ section has been revised. Previously, there was one question with a 500-word response.  Now this section has two questions, 200-300 words each. Answering two questions versus one provides Scholarship Readers a more well-rounded view of who you are as an Alpha Phi and community member and deepens the Reader’s understanding of why you should be selected as a Scholarship Recipient.

Restricted Scholarship Section

Some donors have placed restrictions on their scholarships, and these can only be awarded to recipients who fit their criteria. This can be major-specific, state or country-specific, etc. Instead of being combined with another application section, this now has its own tab! Ensure you check off all boxes that apply to you. Checking off all applicable boxes will help determine your eligibility for restricted scholarships!
